Although maternity photography is not a necessity, it is a wonderful way to capture one of the most exciting times in your life. Deciding on whether to have a maternity photo session done can be a very personal one. Some may feel that they don’t look their very best or are afraid that they will look ‘fat’. This simply is not the case. If you think of what is happening inside the growing rounded belly – a miracle is in the making. Why not document this exciting time?
What to expect at a maternity photo session
So if you have decided that you want to have a maternity photo session I promise that you will not be disappointed! My maternity photography always includes your significant other and children if you so desire. With an array of gowns at your disposal, I’m sure you will find one you will love and feel comfortable in. Wearing the gowns will make this a very special event. You however may feel more comfortable in your own clothing so that is an option as well.
Of the utmost importance is safety and comfort. For this reason I aim to schedule your session when you are about 28-34 weeks. Some may want to schedule sooner if your belly is growing fast and some may want to schedule later.
Maternity Photography Locations
A studio or on location session are both great options. The studio lends itself to be more suited when the weather in the Arkansas River Valley area is too cold, rainy or unpredictable. On location sessions are so wonderful as there are many options to consider in the area. Whether it is a more urban look, near a lake or stream, or being surrounded by nature, all are great options.
